According to the latest report, Yahoo is set to launch a bunch of NFT and Metaverse activities in Hong Kong. The web media giant firm revealed its intentions after Meta Platforms listed its metaverse programs for the region.
Yahoo To Launch Metaverse and NFT Events
The United States-based web media company stated its wish to launch a group of virtual events in Hong Kong. Furthermore, it planned virtual live streaming for the residents of the country via the Decentraland metaverse.
According to reports, dignified speculators considered Yahoo’s gesture as a great opportunity for Hong Kong citizens restricted by the pandemic. They furthered that with the program, people would be able to interact socially after being in lockdown for so long.
The restriction began days ago when the county’s regulators mandated the residents avoid social gatherings due to raging Covid-19. As such, all public platforms like bars, and restaurants were deserted thereby temporarily halting residents’ social activities.
Yahoo stated that it aims to connect Hong Kong people back to their social lives via the metaverse. It continued that the Metaverse would allow them to connect and interact irrespective of their location or time frame.
Aside from the metaverse plan, Yahoo may include an NFT presentation called the Abyss of Kwun Tong. It is about the historic region of the Kwun Tong which is still under development.
Leung Ching-Hsuan said that the native behind the NFT presentation is just to keep humanity using techniques.
The giant Meta form revealed a method to input different organizations on the metaverse thereby offering users first-hand virtual experiences. Virtual organizations to be created include colleges, artwork galleries, cafes, and other public centers.
Metaverse Enjoys Wide Adoption Globally
Statistics showed that more organizations are adopting the concept of metaverse all over the world. McKinsey recently predicted that the price for metaverse-related expenditure may skyrocket by 2030.
The global consulting firm added that it might reach an all-time high of $5 trillion by the speculated time.
At the beginning of this year, JP Morgan, a prominent financial firm in America, commented on the metaverse technology. In the comment that made headlines, it described the metaverse as a trillion-dollar option.
The comment made headlines for days. Following its comment, the firm partnered with decentraland to launch its digital headquarters on the Decentraland metaverse.
Meanwhile, the 24 hours price chart revealed that the decentraland’s native token, MANA, has pumped significantly.it recorded a significant uptrend of 14% in market price.
